The Old Dairy

Located on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, The Old Dairy is a spacious, converted old dairy. It has been tastefully decorated in a modern rustic style and is part of a small hamlet of converted agricultural and mill buildings.
Accommodation is for 2 people and includes a king-size bed, large built-in wardrobe, a modern shower room, fully equipped kitchen/dining area and a lounge area with a TV/Blu-ray, WiFi and a cosy log burner.
French windows look directly out onto the River Teign and the Dunsford Stepping Stones leading to numerous footpaths winding through the medieval Bridford Wood and beyond.

Location

The pretty village of Dunsford, with its small village shop and post office, pub and church, is a gentle 10-minute walk across the fields from The Old Dairy.
Local wildlife is abundant. The famous Steps Bridge beauty spot and Devon Wildlife Trust’s Dunsford Wood is just a few minutes' walk away.
The picturesque moorland town of Moretonhampstead is about 5 miles away with a small range of shops, pubs and cafés, and beyond Moretonhampstead you will find the High Moors with its tors, stone circles, clapper bridges and Dartmoor ponies.
Eight miles in the opposite direction is the ancient city of Exeter with its shops, restaurants and bars, university and splendid Gothic cathedral.

Getting around

We offer a pick up/drop off service from Exeter St. David's railway station for a small additional fee. There are also cabs available from the station car park and a limited bus service between Exeter and Moretonhampstead.
There are some fantastic walks locally, but you really need a car (or bicycle) if you plan to travel around.
Local Attractions

Guest access

Access is via your own front door, and the key is available from the nearby lockbox. You will have The Old Dairy completely to yourselves, to come and go as you please.
Barrie and Mark, the property’s friendly owners, live in the adjoining Mill Barn and are more than happy to share the garden and seating places if you want some “outside time”.
There is also free on-site car parking (1 space).
